Bangsar Trade Centre is a re-development of the highly visible Plaza Pantai, located adjacent to Klang Valley’s busiest road, the Federal Highway, and surrounded by the Pantai Balai Polis, SJK (T) Jalan Bangsar, Pullman Hotel and Menara TM. Originally abandoned in 2004 by the Atlas Corporation, the project has since been picked up by new development group, Twin Pavilion Development Sdn Bhd, with plans to transform the property into a iconic landmark. The property shall be turned into a mix-development consisting of residential business suites, a retail mall with boutique lots, a corporate tower with high grade offices and a state-of-the-art exhibition and convention center. The property is also one of the few developments which has an LRT Station (The Kerinchi Link Station) within the complex, making it very convenient for transiting. There is also a direct link walkway from Bangsar Trade Centre to Bangsar South across the Federal Highway. The project launched its residential business suites for sale in July of 2013 with the option to lease it back to their hotel management team, which shall work in tandem with Best Western International Hotel Group to give their customers a guaranteed rental yield of 6.5% annually. Despite garnering extremely positive response for the project, the development group, Twin Pavilion Development Sdn Bhd, has since faced many obstacles in its construction, resulting in numerous delays to the project’s completion and leading to a public fear that the project will once again be abandoned.
