Casa Green is a new development situated in the upcoming township of Bukit Jalil south of the city. Not to be mistaken with the other new development of the same name in Cheras South, the Casa Green of Bukit Jalil is in no way affiliated with the one in Cheras South. Casa Green is a development of affordable homes under the Federal Territories Affordable Housing and Rumawip projects, and is targeted towards those of the lower income bracket who wish to live within the city but cannot afford the astronomical prices. The minimum requirements for all the affordable homes in Malaysia under the affordable homes program is that every home cannot be sold for more than RM300,000 and must have a minimum size of 800 sf. At Casa Green, the minimum selling price of the homes is RM300,000 with sizes of the homes ranging between 825 sf and 1,003 sf. Layouts of the homes are practical as so to maximise the allocated space, where every unit will come with at least three bedrooms and two bathrooms. These homes were sold via balloting, which was be handled by the ministry where interested parties can register online at the Rumawip website. With the affordability of these homes, the Casa Green project was sold out almost literally within days before even its official launch. With word of mouth spreading faster than online information this time, only those who were aware of this project from its start were able to procure a unit. Casa Green is a very good buy not only for its price but also for its prime location in Bukit Jalil. It will be minutes away from the upcoming Pavilion 2 and the second Paradigm Mall by WCT, neighboured by residential high rises in a quiet environment. The new LRT line station will also be situated directly opposite Casa Green. Accessibility to Casa Green via the Bukit Jalil Highway and Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) is also convenient. Additionally, there is also a proposed link road to the main road of Jalan Jalil Perkasa 1 from outside Casa Green. The only slack part of staying at Casa Green is the area’s tendency to get flooded during torrential rains, and the area’s massive peak hour traffic congestion.
