Situated in Chow Kit, the city’s traditional market district, the GM Plaza (also called Plaza GM Kuala Lumpur) is a mixed development of shops and apartments billed as Malaysia’s largest wholesale plaza. Being within walking distance of multiple public transportation options and popular landmarks in the northern half of city’s outer core, the GM Plaza more than qualifies as prime real estate. Recent transaction data has shown retail space at GM Plaza priced upwards of RM1,600 psf as of the time of this review – a few outliers with strategic frontage have been found priced up to five times that number.
