Merchants at GM Plaza are supported by commercial-grade freight loading bays and elevators to facilitate wholesale distribution, and while the mall is strategically located between Kampung Baru and the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) to ensure a steady stream of foot traffic, an elevated parking garage within the tower addresses the needs of customers arriving by car. Being within walking distance of multiple public transportation options and popular landmarks in the northern half of city’s outer core, the GM Plaza more than qualifies as prime real estate. Recent transaction data has shown retail space at GM Plaza priced upwards of RM1,600 psf as of the time of this review – a few outliers with strategic frontage have been found priced up to five times that number. Given the GM Plaza’s proximity to the city centre, and the convenience of a shopping centre below, the residential properties at GM Plaza are just as coveted. The one or two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 670 sf to 1,270 sf, are presently priced at around RM3,400 psf.
