Taman Cempaka is a residential area surrounded by Kampung Pandan Dalam, Taman Bakti and Pandan Jaya. Located parallel to the LRT line, the two closest Rapid KL hubs are Cempaka and Pandan Indah and slightly further along, Cahaya Rapid KL. The area of Taman Cempaka is also right alongside the MRR2 expressway, dividing it from Pandan Indah across the highway with an exit into the main road of Jalan Cempaka, leading commuters into the housing estate. Flats, low-cost housing, City Garden Palm Villa, quite a few 'Suraus' and a Sekolah Agama are located around this area. There is also a petrol station, and sanitary waste plant which services Taman Cempaka. Rows of 2-storey terrace link houses surround the area with built-ups of around 1,300 sf. The entire area is on leasehold property. The Pinggiran Cempaka townhouses and apartments are actually on the border of Taman Cempaka, right along the main road of Jalan Cempaka. They are sometimes referred to as belonging to Taman Cempaka. Lots of amenities and services are available within walking distance from Taman Cempaka. The newly opened Carrefour supermarket at Axis Atrium, Tesco Hypermarket, just 3km away and the Galaxy shopping mall are amongst the shopping places within the area.
