Bandar Baru Perda in Bukit Mertajam, Penang is a township comprising of different neighbourhoods, commercial shop-lots, offices as well as a number of official government complexes and the headquarters for a few civil defences such as the Fire Department. Given the number of government offices in the area, housing are mostly catered to the many civil servants who are based there.
Residential properties in Bandar Baru Perda include a condominium residence, Mutiara Condominium, several apartments, namely Permata Apartment, as well as double-storey terraces. Commercial shop-lots are plentiful, with a range of single-storey, double-storey and even 3-storey shop-lots and offices.
