Hijauan Valdor is a new gated and guarded residential development situated in Valdor, Sungai Bakap, on the mainland of Penang. Valdor is known for its poultry farms, which might pose a concern to buyers due to the potential odours originating from these farms.
Hijauan Valdor consists of several different types of homes, such as the 2-storey Hazel semi-detached houses (2,959 sf) with 4+1 bedrooms and 4+1 bathrooms, the 2-storey Cypress terrace houses (3,067 sf) with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 1-storey Mulberry terrace houses (1,812 sf) with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 1-storey Olive terrace houses (1,920 sf) with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, as well as the 1-storey Oak semi-detached houses (1,840 sf) with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
This diversity of landed house categories contributes to the positive reception towards the units, as buyers and investors are able to select a type that best suits them. For instance, extended families or families with family members who have limited mobility are able to go for the larger one-storey semi-detached homes, where they can live in spacious comfort. There is also a playground within the neighbourhood.
On the other hand, as Hijauan Valdor and the area immediately surrounding it is still rather new, it does not possess the conveniences of a matured neighbourhood or township just yet. Facilities like major shopping malls, medical centres and educational institutions are located quite a distance away. For instance, some of the nearest schools are in Pearl City or Bandar Tasek Mutiara, about 8km away.
Access to the development is via a new road that leads off the main road of Jalan Sungai Bakap. Traveling along Jalan Sungai Bakap will take you towards the Sungai Bakap town. Grocery stores, sundry shops, auto service centres, industrial lots, banks, petrol stations, convenience stores and restaurants can be found on either side of the road. There is a hospital in the town area too, about 4km from Hijauan Valdor.
A plus point of Hijauan Valdor is its proximity to the Second Penang Bridge, allowing residents easy access to the island, be it for entertainment or business purposes. This also means that the Batu Kawan industrial area is within easy reach – a definite advantage when IKEA Batu Kawan opens.
