Kampung Seri Delima is a neighbourhood located in Kepong, an area located reasonably close to the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. Within this area are a plenitude of shops available, along with both landed properties and low cost flats. Residents of Kampung Seri Delima enjoy a convenient lifestyle, with many amenities located within a short deve out from the neighbourhood.
It was however reported in the year 2012 that 10 blocks of the flats in the area were abandoned, as they belonged to the Defence Ministry of which its tenants moved out in the year 2010. Residents of the remaining 5 blocks of flats feel disquieted with living in the shadows of the abandoned buildings, as they are afraid that the abandoned flats may attract criminals and vagrants. The Defence Ministry however announced that the abandoned flats would be redeveloped into a mixed development project for the public.
