Of the numerous housing developments within the city, Cheras is known to have some of the most well-planned and affordable housing developments; and amongst some of the original neighbourhoods in Bandar Mahkota Cheras is Section 1, which offers relatively new and well-maintained double storey terrace houses.

With many urban dwellers choosing to live in Cheras for its affordability and proximity to the Kuala Lumpur city centre, prices of the homes in Section 1 have appreciated significantly over the years.

Living in Cheras can be a major pain primarily due to terrible traffic congestions during peak hours, but buyers who are willing to put up with the pains of traffic will find that the homes in Cheras are well worth their price and that there is a certain quality of tranquility in the residential areas.
