Section 11 is an old and dignified housing area which first existed during the British ruling era, hence its simple addresses. Still tenanted by those of the upper income group, almost none of the houses in this area still maintain their original structures due to numerous renovations, demolishments and rebuilding, resulting in a pleasant cacophony of individualistic designs.

Nowadays it is not as safe anymore, one of my neighbours got robbed by 2 Chinese men in a Honda Civic with parangs, and an old mini market that used to be at the now Sri Paandi Cash & Carry , the old man was slashed to death in a robbery. Very bad.

shut but at least call the police. We have plenty of shoe thieves, that is one of the reasons why almost every house has at least one dog. this area is becoming busier, with more shops coming up. All in all, is not such a bad place to bring up your kids.
This place has its own history as well. My opposite neighbour used to be a drunkard who started shouting profanities every time he got drunk everyday until past midnight until we had to make police report. But he has stopped after his wife scolded him very badly one day. The owner of and house down the lane died when her car rolled over her when she went down to close the gate a forgot to pull her handbrake. Our next door neighbour's kids party occasionally until very late with party music but have stopped after we complained to their parents. A guy feeds the stray cats outside our house every evening instead of at his own house so that the cats will poo in our house instead of his. Have stepped or rolled over cat poo few times before. It is not nice. But still nice area to live in.
