SS 4 is a matured residential area in Kelana Jaya which has seen a rise in crime rate in recent years. As such, some of the neighbourhoods within SS4 have hired private security companies to patrol area while the police have been coerced into maintaining a presence in the neighbourhood as well. Much like any other residential area which requires access via the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), SS 4 is susceptible to daily traffic congestions.
