Taman Desa Baiduri is a housing area in Cheras South where its many neighbours include Taman Cheras Utama, Taman Damai Indah, and The Oasis. Cheras South has a reputation for being a township with a high crime rate, and Taman Desa Baiduri is no exception to that. There have been reports of illegal racing activities along the main road from Taman Sri Taming to Taman Desa Baiduri for several years, and there were also reports of international syndicates actively distributing synthetic drugs around the neighbourhood. Cheras is also no stranger to traffic congestion and many residents have chosen not to stay here due to traffic issues.
