Taman Murai Jaya is a neighbourhood located in Bukit Tambun, Penang. Established some years back, there are a number of residential as well as commercial properties within. The neighbourhood appears quiet, with most of the properties displaying signs of wear and tear.
The residential component of Taman Murai Jaya consists of an apartment, terraces, and semi-detacheds. Built-up sizes of units at Taman Murai Jaya begin from 538 sf, with prices beginning from RM30,000. Rental is also on the average, with monthly rates of at least RM550.
Being an older township, there are no facilities in the neighbourhood. Most of the shop lots in the township are unoccupied, with an eatery or two available. Amenities are also few in the vicinities, given that the Bukit Minyak town area caters mostly to industries. However, there are a few commercial shop lots around, where a supermarket, restaurants and more are available. Schools in the area also include SK Taman Merak, SJK (C) Keng Koon, and SK Bukit Tambun.
Accessibility wise, Taman Murai Jaya is a few minutes’ drive from the main road of Jalan Bukit Tambun. The road leads to the Simpang Ampat town a few minutes’ drive west, while access to the North-South Expressway (NSE) is also possible via the route. With that, the second Penang bridge is about 15 minutes’ drive away.
