Taman Seri Pinang is a neighbourhood situated to the north of the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR). It is also bordered by several major roads like Jalan Sungai Puyu and Jalan Kampung Benggali. Due to the higher amount of traffic passing by the neighbourhood, most of the properties here are shops and shop offices.

There are also some 1- and 2-storey homes in the centre of the neighbourhood, in addition to the Seri Pinang Apartment, a high-rise medium-cost freehold apartment complex that is equipped with simple amenities like 24-hour security, a playground and jogging track. The apartment’s residential units have a standard layout, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms each.

The security of Taman Seri Pinang is generally good, as there is a police station within the neighbourhood itself. There are also sports shops, clothes stores and eateries in the neighbourhood, including a food court. Several commercial and industrial precincts are also within a short driving distance from the neighbourhood, such as Bagan Ajam, Raja Uda, Taman Perindustrian Teras Jaya and Sungai Dua.

These locales provide not just a wealth of facilities, but also job opportunities for the residents of Taman Seri Pinang, as well as potential visitors to the businesses in the neighbourhood. Furthermore, there are at least 3 buses plying Jalan Sungai Puyu, and the BORR expressway offers an easy way to get to other parts of Butterworth and travel between Sungai Dua and Perai, passing by the Penang Sentral transportation hub on the way.

Residents with young children need not fret either, as there is no lack of schools in the vicinity, for example SK Sungai Puyu, SJK (C) Li Hwa and SMK Desa Murni, while for medical emergencies and major medical cases, one can reach Hospital Seberang Jaya, located about 8km away.
