Taman Tambun Jaya, situated in Bukit Tambun, Simpang Ampat, is a neighbourhood that consists of both residential and commercial properties. Residential properties here comprise double-storey terrace houses and a freehold low-cost 5-storey flat, while commercial properties include 1- and 2-storey shop lots mostly occupied by car service workshops and eateries.

Accessibility-wise, Taman Tambun Jaya has an advantageous position about 12km away from the Second Penang Bridge, which will take about 15 minutes to reach with uncongested traffic. It is slightly further to the Penang Bridge – about 16km. Also, the North-South Expressway (NSE) and the trunk road, Jalan Permatang Tinggi, are approximately 2km from the neighbourhood, allowing residents to travel to other towns and states with ease.
