Telawi is one of the most matured areas in the affluent neighbourhood of Bangsar, hosting a purely commercial area. Every single type of upcoming franchise is located within Telawi, which is famous for its gastronomical delights, al fresco dining and its upscale shopping mall of Bangsar Village.

There is also an abundance of pubs and ‘mamak’ shops in this area, making a busy district at all times of day and night. Beauty parlours offering all types of services are also available in Telawi ranging from eyebrow shaping to hair salons, while excellent dentists and optical shops are also available in this enclave.

One of the slack parts about Telawi with all its going ons would be its traffic which is constantly congested at all times of the day whether during the weekdays or weekends. Finding a parking spot in this area is considered a major boon, and visitors are usually encouraged to park their vehicles inside Bangsar Village to walk out to the surrounding area, as Bangsar Village is located spot on in the heart of the excitement. Another issue to concern visitors would be the number of snatch thefts and pickpocket cases that occur in this area, which has prompted the police to set up a booth outside Bangsar Village and set up signs to beware of snatch thefts.
