Windmill Upon Hills comprises serviced apartments and studios sitting upon 5.57 acres of freehold land in Genting Highlands. As such, it leverages upon the natural beauty and cool breezes of the surrounding landscape, as well as proximity to Resorts World Genting and its associated attractions.

A development by OSK Property Holdings Bhd, the project comprises a total of 1,108 residential units with built-ups from 362 sq ft to 1,523 sq ft, priced from RM492,000 to RM1,685,000. These units are spread among four residential blocks, with three 42-storey residential towers (Tower A, B and C) on a nine-storey carpark podium forming a windmill structure.

Tower A (266 units), B (267 units) and C (262 units) offer a wide selection of family, duplex, dual-key and sky villa units in single, two-bedroom and three-bedroom layouts. Meanwhile, the 32-storey Tower D (313 units) is attached to Tower C and is given over to studio and executive studio layouts. Purchasers can choose from views facing Bentong, Gohtong Jaya and Genting Highlands itself.

Given its location, Windmill Upon Hills caters primarily to the investor market, which make up about 60% of current buyers, according to the developer. Furthermore, buyers have the option to have their units managed by the Swiss Garden International hospitality group, with guaranteed rental returns of 6% for five years.

Units in the project are also fully furnished, except for some soft furnishings like carpets and wallpaper, for immediate occupancy. Considering the hassles involved in renovating and furniture transport to the site, this is a definite value-add.

Windmill Upon Hills offers a diverse range of recreational facilities in its Rejuvenating Deck and Terraced Garden on Levels 5 and 9, with a Rooftop Sanctuary on Levels 40, 41 and 42. Amenities in the Rejuvenating Deck include a jogging track, dandelion garden, tea and party garden (bird cage garden), barbecue area, hot spa and children’s playground, among others.

Meanwhile, the Terraced Garden features a landscaped forest playground and ‘Brooks and Bridges’ area, while the Rooftop Sanctuary is home to a sky deck, jacuzzi, kids pool, sauna, gym and 40m heated lap pool.

Residents and owners can also book a Celebration Alcove for events and functions. The Celebration Alcove is essentially a venue with glass facades sitting on a water feature, with its position on Level 42 offering a spectacular view of the surrounding highlands.

Windmill Upon Hills is a 45-minute drive away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, or just 30 minutes from Gombak or Ampang. Its strategic location is a stone’s throw from the centre of Genting Highlands, which continues to draw nearly 20 million visitors annually despite the uncertainty surrounding the ongoing 20th Century Fox World theme park development.

Other major attractions in the area include the Genting Highlands Premium Outlet. Families with children will also find Highlands International School Boarding School and SMK Sri Layang located conveniently close by.

Windmill Upon Hills is scheduled for completion by July 2019. OSK Property Holdings shares that 97% of units have been sold. Remaining units are primarily Sky Villa (Type D) layouts with built-ups of 1,268 sq ft priced from RM1.3 mil, along with executive studios (Type J) with built-ups of 726 sq ft.

Sky Villa units also offer dual-key designs for flexibility in terms of living and rental arrangements, comprising the main unit (1,020 sq ft) and an attached studio (248 sq ft).
