Grand View condominium is situated along the busy road of Jalan Tanjung Tokong in Tanjung Tokong, Penang. The condominium residences is made up of 2, 25-storey tall blocks with 308 units within. Completed in the year 1998, the leasehold property has stood the test of times and still maintains a well-kept facade.
There are standard Grand View condominium units as well as penthouse units, with standard units ranging between the sizes of 1,000 sf to 1,500 sf. Penthouse units are expansive with a built-up space of 2,400 sf. Units for sale are sold at an average price of RM600,000 while rental can cost about RM1,300 per month.
There are various facilities available for use by Grand View condominium residents. These include a swimming pool, wading pool, gymnasium, tennis court, squash court, and badminton court for leisurely use. For entertainment purposes, there is a community hall and barbecue area as well as a children’s playground. There is also a visitors’ car park for added privacy for residents. The property grounds are also well-kept and feature a landscaped garden.
Grand View condominium is within proximity to an array of amenities, which include schools such as the Penang Chinese Girls' High School, the St. Nicholas School, and hospitals including Penang Adventist Hospital, Gleneagles Medical Centre, and Tanjung Medical Centre. The property is also situated close to Gurney Drive, the seaside stretch of shopping complexes namely Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon, hotels like G Hotel and Evergreen Laurel as well as several food courts. Batu Ferringhi is also a short 20 minutes drive up north.
Grand View offers convenient access to other parts of town by roads such as Persiaran Gurney, Jalan Bagan Jermal, Jalan Mount Erskine, Kelawei Road, and not to mention the network of lanes and smaller roads within the region. However, this strategic location has a negative side to it as traffic is generally heavy around the area, given that Jalan Tanjung Tokong is a road frequented by many Penangites. Peak hours in the morning and evening, weekends and public holidays are also times when traffic may come to a standstill.
Hence, Grand View condominium is a property that may not be suitable for everyone. Those who have to commute to Bayan Lepas or the mainland on a daily basis may find it draining to go through the congestion every day, while expatriates or retirees may enjoy the convenience of being close to Gurney Drive and Batu Ferringhi.
