KL Gateway is a very prominent project of serviced apartments, retail lots and offices literally at the entrance point to Kuala Lumpur. Situated in the prestigious neighbourhood of Bangsar South, KL Gateway enjoys high frontage from the Federal Highway as they are located literally beside the highway.

KL Gateway is literally 5 minutes away from the city of Petaling Jaya with its many amenities, schools, places of worship and everything an established city has, while the exciting hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur is only 15 minutes from home in clear traffic via the Federal Highway.

With their central location, residents of KL Gateway will also enjoy utmost convenient access to all the major highways. Literally just beside their development will be the new access road from the Federal Highway, where residents can also get to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and from there to the SPRINT Highway. Just down the Federal Highway is also the SMART Tunnel and the Seremban Highway.

On the other end of Bangsar South is the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) which connects to Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP). With the convenience of access to these highways, Cheras, Old Klang Road, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Kelana Jaya area will all be between 20 and 30 minutes away from home.

Residents of KL Gateway will also have the best of public transport close to home. The University LRT Station is within a short walk of home, while also close to home on the same line is Kerinchi LRT Station across the pedestrian bridge. In the coming years close to Pantai Sentral Park (PSP) a short drive from home will be the LRT Line 3.

KL Gateway will be located close to entertainment hubs within minutes from the development. The neighbourhood mall Nexus is 5 minutes away where almost opposite it is the open air mall of The Sphere. Approximately 10 minutes away is Mid Valley Megamall just down the Federal Highway, which will be visible from KL Gateway itself.

With its prime location at the gateway of Kuala Lumpur, sales of KL Gateway has been stupendous. Units were snapped up as soon as every phase was released despite their inflated prices as property speculators anticipate very high returns from this project.

The air outside also can be awful -- you can sometimes smell trash through the doors in the bedroom area that open up to the A/C unit.
The facilities, corridors etc. are not bad, but even after handing over the keys in June 2017 renovation work continued as the units and building were clearly unfinished. At one point debris from main contractors was all over the corridors in a block that was supposedly ready for us to move in. Nearly 1 year later, this seems to have settled, but it was absolutely not move in-ready when the keys were first handed over.
Safety - Several break-ins in 2017, culprit finally caught with the vigilance of the security guards. Prior to that, there were insufficient safety features implemented. After the burglaries, the management installed floor-specific access card measures and introduced more secure access points. Guards are also better trained now. However, due to the high number of Airbnb and homestay tenants resulting in a lot of strangers being around the place, it can feel unsafe.
Quietness - Hopefully it improves, but right now there's a lot of construction going on with the building opposite, so it's really not that quiet. As it's connected to a mall, events in the mall with loud music can be disruptive during the day until closure.
Traffic - It's Bangsar South, so this is self-explanatory. Traffic from NPE , from near Pullman Hotel, from Federal -- it's very congested. A disadvantage with all Bangsar South properties when it comes to accessibility and the commute.

KL Gateway Bangsar South is a conveniently located with shopping mall within, 100m walk to link bridge to LRT, easy access to KL/PJ. Near Eco City, Mid Valley, Bangsar Baru.
