The township of Pandan Indah is located between Ampang proper and Cheras, and can be directly serviced by the Pandan Indah LRT station of the Ampang line. Once a small town, it has since matured into a major township since the flyover was built. Many recent developments include mixed projects of condominiums, service apartments, apartment duplexes, double-storey terraces, and retail lots from different developers.

As the town continued to grow into a prime area, concerns for security started to surface. Although Pandan Indah will not be directly categorized as a hotspot for crime but there have been reports of break-in and snatch theft cases due to the carelessness of residents. In August 2013, a gold merchant was fired at three times from point blank range. As a result, security guards have been hired on 24-hour shifts and residents are constantly reminded to be vigilant at all times.

Various public amenities and facilities surround this town, such as Mid-Point Shopping Centre, AEON Jusco, and Tesco Ampang, followed by a medley of restaurants, retail shops, schools and clinics that are all within easy reach. Korean residents and those who enjoy the Korean cuisine can experience the country’s fanfare in Little Korea which is situated in Ampang Avenue.

As the MRR2 remains one of the major highways leading into and out of Pandan Indah, traffic can get backed up especially during peak hours. It is expected of areas with high number of residents and the high volume of people coming in and out or going through the area. Road users can opt to use other highways such DUKE or KESAS, or hop on the Pandah Indah LRT station. Otherwise, Pandan Indah is perfect for people looking to settle down away from the hustle bustle of the city but do not want to be too far from the capital city.
