Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

PropSocial's Review

Bandar Mahkota Cheras is located in Cheras, Selangor. The 365-hectare township is well-established and provides plenty for its residents. Development here began around the year 2000 by Narajaya Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Lion Group.

Some years ago, this place was popular among homebuyers who were seeking affordable homes with easy access to Kuala Lumpur. Residential properties here consist mainly of landed homes with a few high-rises.

Right at the centre of Bandar Mahkota Cheras is Mahkota Walk, an easily accessible commercial hub. It serves over 200,000 residents in the area with a variety of amenities including recreational parks, restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and clinics.

The grocery stores here cater to a variety of diets. Healthy-living is in demand these days, so NGO Grocer is here to fulfil your need for organic ingredients. Similarly, Korean-imported food is trending in Malaysia now. You can find some in the Korean Grocer at BMC Mall. The neighbourhood’s favourite affordable Bingsu is here as well. Other groceries here include Top One Mini Market and Pasaraya Wah Foong. There are many must-visit restaurants here such as the Two Chefs Lab, Cafe HK Boy, Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant, and The Break Restaurant.

For family outings on the weekends, there are nearby outdoor parks such as Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur and Perdana Botanical Garden. With the latter being well-known for its exquisitely designed landscape.

Bandar Mahkota Cheras is accessible via the Cheras-Kajang Highway from the Cheras Perdana Interchange. You can also access it via SILK Highway. Persiaran Mahkota Cheras 1 and 2 also runs through the township as two dual carriageway roads. As for MRT stations, the closest ones are Batu 11 Cheras, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn and Bukit Dukung stations.

This township is great for families who want to live a quiet and convenient lifestyle away from a busy city.
