Kapar is a town situated in Klang with the Kapar River coursing through the nearby town centre and into the Straits of Malacca. Kapar is fast growing from a very minor town into a metropolitan in Klang.

Its name is notably emblazoned on Kapar Energy or Power which is supplied via its own power plant, the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Power Station, located on the outskirts of the town. This station supplies power to most parts of Selangor.

Amenities in Kapar are a modest lot, with banks and an educational institution located along Jalan Raja Bot. Most of the residential areas are mainly in Bukit Kampung Kapar where there is a mosque found within its vicinity. From Kapar, one can find their way to Port Klang.

The crime rate in Kapar is not a major concern to its residents as law enforcement agencies implemented a joint patrol scheme two years ago in 2012 to improve security in public areas with the mission to deter crime and create a safe environment for the people. There have been very little crime reports ever since.

Kapar is renowned for its seafood restaurants, where visitors can indulge in fresh and delicious seafood dishes. The town is also home to several historical sites, such as the Kapar Kapor Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Selangor. The vibrant Kapar Market offers a bustling atmosphere and a wide variety of local produce and street food. Nearby attractions include the Royal Klang Club Golf Course and the Taman Rakyat Klang, a public park ideal for outdoor activities and family outings.
