A relatively “young” neighbourhood which was developed by Land and General in the 1990’s, it similarly attracts young-ish families who are looking to invest in their first home. There are also many families looking to move from neighbouring Kepong , as prices and the lower density of BSD is more attractive than similarly placed Desa Park City and Bandar Menjalara.

Like many other developments in the country, the area is made up of mixed developments; with a good mix of low density terraced homes, apartments and commercial development. The previous Clubhouse with a driving range has recently been taken over for a development which will also house a hotel, shopping mall and a high rise office tower.

Real estate experts are confident that prices for property in the area will hold, considering the many pluses it has going for it; it is one of a few suburbs which has 3 MRT stations and a KTM station servicing the area, it has numerous highways connected for convenient entry/exit routes and it is within commute to the larger malls like 1-Utama, The Curve, Ikea.

Families will also be happy with the selection of schools and higher education options available in the area. In addition to schools and malls, the area has recently seen a bloom in the F&B scene which will always appease the regular Malaysian hunting for a place of residence.
