Kota Seriemas is a 2,400-acre township development located in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, close to the transportation hub of KLIA and KLIA 2. Seriemas Development, a subsidiary of PNB Development, is responsible for the development of Kota Seriemas, and targets its completion some time in 2016. The township’s core concept is based on an eco-friendly and wholesome lifestyle with residential homes and commercial businesses co-existing among the lush and natural surroundings, and has a target population of 60,000 residents.

Kota Seriemas’ prime location places it strategically connected to other parts of Klang Valley via a network of well-planned highways, which allows residents to conveniently access the Sepang F1 circuit, KLIA and KLIA 2, the Nilai town centre, and Putrajaya. Residents in the township will also get to enjoy a resort-style living with the sports and recreational facilities and amenities provided, which includes a Resort Commercial Centre and the KPJ International University.

As the township is far from being completed, the area is still relatively quiet. There are plans for upcoming projects within the township and for those who work in the nearby areas like Putrajaya, KLIA / LCCT, or Sepang and do not mind travelling the distance to work, there is the option of purchasing a unit for personal use. Also in the progress of being completed is the resort golf course for the enthusiastic golfer or those who appreciate nature. The golf course is carefully planned to provide a space for competitive and amateur golfers to come play together while enjoying the natural splendour of Kota Seriemas’ surroundings.

Consumer Price Index

This is a representation of Negeri Sembilan Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the year of 2011 - 2015

Did you know?

A consumer price index (CPI) measures changes in the price level of a market basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households. (Wikipedia)

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) line shows an increment in prices of essential goods on a yearly basis, while the Percentage Changes line shows the level of changes in price increments over the years. For example, a dip in the CPI line may indicate a low level of price increment as compared to the previous year while a surge in CPI line shows a high level of price increment as compared to the previous year.

The above graph shows 1.35% of price changes in essential goods such as rice, meat and tobacco between the years 2011 and 2012, while increasing in difference to 2.093% in 2013. Prices of essential goods then increasing to 2.889% in the year 2014 while surging by 2.717% in 2015.

While the prices of essential goods have shown a variation in the Percentage Changes, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the other hand indicates a reality of ever increasing prices in essential goods with increments between the years 2011 - 2015 at 102.7 in 2011, 105.1 in 2012, 107.3 in 2013, 110.4 in 2014, 113.4 in 2015.
