Tropicana Aman is an upcoming township in Shah Alam, designed to be a nature encompassed neighbourhood with a “Walking and Biking Community” concept. The entirety of the development has a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM13 billion, encompassing 863 acres of land. Located next to Kota Kemuning, Tropicana Aman is designed to be a self contained mixed development township.

There will be a total of 20 phases within Tropicana Aman, consisting of gated and guarded residential developments, an 85-acre central linear park and a resident-exclusive clubhouse. There will also be neighbourhood commercial centres located around the township. According to a Tropicana independent non-executive deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza, Tropicana Aman will be corporation’s largest township in Malaysia at 863 acres. Expecting a large crowd to the highly hyped township, the showroom of Tropicana Aman itself is 12 acres large. It is located just next to the site next to the neighbourhood of Kota Kemuning.

Arahsia Residences, the first phase of Tropicana Aman, was launched in May 2015, where al thel units were taken up within a short few months. This was followed by the second phase of Bayan which was launched in August 2015 where the response was just as overwhelming despite the soft market. Also attracting buyers to this self-contained township is the confirmed 10-acre Tenby International School with a built-up of 225,000 sf, designed to accommodate up to 1,800 students. The school is expected to be ready to take its first intake of students by September 2018, offering programs for students aged between 3 and 18 years old.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) line shows an increment in prices of essential goods on a yearly basis, while the Percentage Changes line shows the level of changes in price increments over the years. For example, a dip in the CPI line may indicate a low level of price increment as compared to the previous year while a surge in CPI line shows a high level of price increment as compared to the previous year.

The above graph shows 1.644% of price changes in essential goods such as rice, meat and tobacco between the years 2011 and 2012, while increasing in difference to 2.093% in 2013. Prices of essential goods then increasing to 3.448% in the year 2014 while surging by 2.523% in 2015.

While the prices of essential goods have shown a variation in the Percentage Changes, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the other hand indicates a reality of ever increasing prices in essential goods with increments between the years 2011 - 2015 at 102.7 in 2011, 105.1 in 2012, 107.3 in 2013, 111.0 in 2014, 113.8 in 2015.
