Taman Pelangi Indah is a township in Ulu Tiram, Johor Bahru. It was initiated in 1997 to meet the demand for residential properties in the Kota Tinggi development corridor. More than 20 years later, it is a well favoured location comprising both freehold residential and commercial developments.

The township has a total of 939 acres, with a total of more than 6,400 landed homes, in addition to apartments, shop lots, mini markets, a clinic, police station and a secondary school – SMK Pelangi Indah. The expected population here is more than 32,000. Set within Taman Pelangi Indah itself are two large recreational lakes, where residents can meet and connect with family and neighbours alike.

Nearby neighbourhoods include Taman Puteri Wangsa, Taman Gaya, Taman Desa Tebrau and Taman Mount Austin. AEON Tebrau City mall, Tesco Extra Tebrau hypermarket and IKEA Tebrau are located in Taman Desa Tebrau, less than 15 minutes away from Taman Pelangi Indah, making the township’s location an appealing one indeed.

In the neighbouring Taman Mount Austin, there is the Hospital Sultan Ismail, a specialist and teaching hospital equipped with a hi-tech, fully electronic system, as well as educational facilities like the Sunway College Johor Bahru and the Austin Heights Private & International Schools.

From Taman Pelangi Indah, residents can also easily access Jalan Kota Tinggi, one of the main routes passing through the area. The township’s value is enhanced by its proximity to the Lebuhraya Senai-Desaru, just about 10 minutes away, which stretches between Senai in the west of Johor to Desaru in the east.

Johor Bahru is about 19km away, while the Johor Bahru checkpoint to Singapore is about 23km from the township. Senai International Airport is also situated within a reasonable distance – just over 30km away – benefiting residents who often travel outstation for work.

So far, there have been several developments launched in Taman Pelangi Indah. For example, the Ijauan 1-storey terrace homes, and the Camwood 2-storey terrace homes. The former has a built-up area ranging from 1,323 sf to 1,475 sf, while the latter has a built-up area suited for larger or multigenerational families, 1,710 sf to 2,053 sf.
