Bandar Baru Sri Klebang is a township located in Chemor, Perak. It spans 650 acres of freehold land, which was once merely rubber plantations. The township offers a range of residential developments, catered to homebuyers of all budgets and requirements.

Bandar Baru Sri Klebang is most known for the many neighbourhoods of landed homes, which are priced relatively lower than those in the Ipoh city centre. The year 2001 saw the launching of the first phase of single-storey terrace homes within the township, which aimed to provide daily living amidst nature.

Given the developer’s efforts to price the homes affordably and the quality homes offered, Bandar Baru Sri Klebang gained traction amongst home buyers, with population evermore booming in the township. Some of the earlier residential enclaves include the Grand Retreats in 2004, followed by Grand Retreats 2, just nine years from the first. Some of the more recent developments are Pine Park and Strand Park.

Bandar Baru Sri Klebang also goes by the motto of LIVE, LEARN and PLAY, therein offering facilities like its very own community clubhouse known as The Centro. The clubhouse features a swimming pool, gymnasium, recreation park, driving range, tennis courts, a cafe, as well as children-friendly components like a wading pool and children’s play corner, ensuring the perfect place for family fun.

A great choice of amenities within proximity to Bandar Baru Sri Klebang is also one of the factors drawing home seekers to the township, with hypermarkets like an Econsave, as well as commercial shop lots within the township which will offer even more conveniences. The AEON Klebang mall is also not too far off, along with other existing amenities like banks, eateries, restaurants, petrol stations and more, available in the town of Chemor.

Accessibility to and from Bandar Baru Sri Klebang is through a number of major roads which converge in the town of Chemor before branching other ways, such as Jalan Kuala Kangsar. Ipoh is about 15km down the aforementioned road, while in the other direction is Kuala Kangsar. From Bandar Baru Sri Klebang, Jalan Kuala Kangsar also connects to the North-South Expressway (NSE) just before Ipoh. Other roads accessible are Jalan Chemo-Tanjung Rambutan, and Jalan Chemor.

Consumer Price Index

This is a representation of Perak Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the year of 2011 - 2015

Did you know?

A consumer price index (CPI) measures changes in the price level of a market basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households. (Wikipedia)

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) line shows an increment in prices of essential goods on a yearly basis, while the Percentage Changes line shows the level of changes in price increments over the years. For example, a dip in the CPI line may indicate a low level of price increment as compared to the previous year while a surge in CPI line shows a high level of price increment as compared to the previous year.

The above graph shows 1.262% of price changes in essential goods such as rice, meat and tobacco between the years 2011 and 2012, while increasing in difference to 1.822% in 2013. Prices of essential goods then increasing to 2.731% in the year 2014 while surging by 1.925% in 2015.

While the prices of essential goods have shown a variation in the Percentage Changes, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the other hand indicates a reality of ever increasing prices in essential goods with increments between the years 2011 - 2015 at 102.7 in 2011, 104.3 in 2012, 106.2 in 2013, 109.1 in 2014, 111.2 in 2015.
