TSM was incorporated as Juan Kuang (M) Industrial Sdn Bhd in Malaysia on 16 July 1981 under the Companies Act, 1965. It was converted to a public limited company, Juan Kuang (M) Industrial Berhad, on 3 November 1992 and changed its name to its current form on 13 August 2007. TSM was listed on the Second Board of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) on 16 December 1991. The listing was transferred to the Main Market of the Bursa Securities on 3 August 2009. TSM has been delisted on 27 June 2012. The Company commenced operations in 1967 as a small-scale manufacturer of fluorescent light casings before it ventured into the manufacture of teak wood products like battens, blocks and fuse boxes. In 1980, the Group ceased the fluorescent lights and teak wood products’ manufacturing operations and instead produced wiring harness for motor vehicles and automotive accessories for with factories located in Johor. The Group has expanded its wiring harness operations to a new factory in Tapah, Perak to increase the production capacity in order to meet increasing demand. This new factory has commenced operations in December 2005.
