Bukit Tiara is a posh landed development in Cheras where the units differ from one another as each lot is bought and built based on the owner’s preference. Most of the units in Bukit Tiara have the privilege of enjoying a magnificent view of the KL city. The homes are tightly secured to ensure the safety of residents, and with only a handful of units available there is an extreme sense of privacy. Residents will however have to bypass Taman Billion to reach their homes as it is the only entry and exit point.
There was a case in 2013 that put Bukit Tiara in the limelight when two men were suspected of spying on MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong using a remote-controlled hexacopter. The suspects were identified after the photographer circulated his name card in search of the hexacopter that crashed in the backyard of the MCA Youth chief’s bungalow. They turned themselves in but denied being members of a political party.
