Description
Sitting atop the hills of Bukit Antarabangsa is Impian Selatan, previously known as Southern Height Condominium, an affordable residential high rise with an exemplary environment. Lounging amidst the forests of Bukit Antarabangsa, this condominium’s peace and serenity is a rare jewel in the city.
However due to the unfortunate landslides that happened in 1999 and 2008, many have been apprehensive about living at Impian Selatan, as it is purported to be in a critical area for an upcoming landslide. In addition to its unfortunate location, residents of Impian Selatan have complained about cracks in the condominium since the 2008 landslide, which worsened during the works to repair the affected slopes after the landslide.
The drilling and construction to repair the slopes have caused the building to crack further, damage the swimming pool, crack the drains and sink one of the parking lots by four inches which has since then gradually moved horizontally away from the foundation column; and in response to these catastrophes, the management team packed up their bags and left. As such, prices of Impian Selatan have been rather stagnant over the years, despite the beauty of the condominium.
