Section 1 is a housing development located in Wangsa Maju next to Section 2, Desa Setapak, Taman Sri Rampai and Taman Bunga Raya. Most of the developments within Section 1 consist of low rise properties, landed properties and shop lots. Section 1 and Section 2 of Wangsa Maju have long been divided by the Wangsa Maju LRT line many years ago, where the residents in Section 1 are mostly Malays while Section 2 are mostly inhabited by Chinese residents.
