Taman Pekaka is a residential development located in Sungai Dua, Penang. The development's proximity to the University of Science, Malaysia makes it a popular and reasonably-priced dwelling area for students and staff of the institution. In fact, the area is also near to the Inti International College Penang, making it doubly ideal for investment purposes.
Within the development, there are several types of housing options, be it apartment blocks or landed properties consisting of 1-storey and 2-storey terrace houses. While Taman Pekaka is also moderately near to the Penang International Airport, the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, as well as the Georgetown city centre — about 10 km in each direction, it more than makes up for this by its closeness to the first Penang bridge and the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway (also called the Jelutong Expressay) leading to Georgetown.
Queensbay Mall, Tesco Extra, the Penang Golf Club, Super Tanker Market and Food Court, Pantai Hospital Penang, Taman Pekaka Park and countless eateries and other retail outlets are also in the vicinity, further cementing the Taman Pekaka area as one of the most accessible locations on the island.
