Right opposite the apartment, there is the SK Mutiara Perdana, while slightly further away are schools like SRJK (C) Chung San, SMK Sg Ara, SK Bayan Lepas and SK Bayan Lepas 2, as well as the Desa Ria Market, Penang Skills Development Centre, Bayan Baru Market and Food Court, Giant Hypermarket, Sunshine Square, Elit Heights and Subterranean Penang International Sports Arena (PISA, previously known as SPICE).
Transportation is convenient as well, be it by private cars or public buses. Desa Bayan is near to main roads like Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Tun Dr Awang and Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim, which lead to other parts of Sungai Ara, Bayan Lepas, Relau and Bukit Jambul, eventually joining the Jelutong Expressway. Buses 302 and 308 pass by Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim, reachable through a short walk from the apartment.
