Mutiara Heights is a high-density condominium completed in 2005 occupying a leasehold land parcel in Jelutong, Penang. Its 525 units are divided among two 29-storey blocks, with each 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom standard unit measuring about 800 sf. Larger 1,600 sf penthouse units are also available. Many of these units have sea views, looking over the sea towards the mainland of Penang.

As in many affordable high-density apartments, the facilities provided at Mutiara Heights are minimal but essential – covered parking lots in a multi-storey complex, a gymnasium, playground, freeform swimming pool, community hall, as well as 24-hour security surveillance, the latter aimed at improving the security issues experienced by residents in the past.

The apartment is well-positioned between Georgetown and Gelugor, which is also near the Penang Bridge. The apartment is also practically next to the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, also known as Jelutong Expressway. This major highway runs from Georgetown all the way to Batu Maung in the southeast of the island, guaranteeing good accessibility to other locations in Penang.

For residents who do not own a car but work in Jelutong, Gelugor or one of the neighbouring towns, public transportation is readily available, with various bus stops along Lebuhraya Gelugor and Jalan Jelutong behind the apartment.

It goes without saying that Mutiara Heights is also close to various amenities, be it retail outlets, food and beverage outlets, schools, petrol stations, banks or clinics. Schools around the area include SK Jelutong, SMK Jelutong, SMJK Chung Hwa, SRJK (C) Kheng Tean, SRJK (C) Pei Shin, SJK (C) Jelutong and SJK (C) Beng Teik Cawangan.

Tesco Penang is a short 6-minute drive away, while barely 1km away is the Metro Avenue shop office complex and the Jelutong Market, a lively morning wet market with many hawker food stalls. For recreation, the scenic Bukit Dumbar Park is less than 2km from the apartment.
