Taman Universiti is a matured neighbourhood located in Skudai, Johor. The neighbourhood started off as a university town, but it is now a place where everyone calls home. This mixed development area has a healthy mixture of residential and commercial properties consisting of terrace and semi-detached houses, apartments, as well as shop-offices scattered primarily at the front of the neighbourhood.
Taman Universiti has a few facilities, such as an open park where residents can get some fresh air from, in addition to the children’s playgrounds that are scattered around the township. However, there is a lack of security here, hence it is advisable that individual homes get their own security systems so to ensure some peace of mind.
Being a mature and self-sustainable township, this neighbourhood boasts a wide range of amenities. Within the area, an AEON hypermarket is present to provide a place for residents to shop for groceries and daily needs. There are also commercial units that house amenities such as restaurants, petrol stations, banks, workshops, boutiques, various service centres and offices. Other townships that are nearby include Bukit Indah, Kangkar Pulai, Senai and the Johor Bahru city centre, with wider choice of conveniences.
The township can be reached via the Skudai-Pontian Highway, and the Malaysia-Singapore 2nd Link Highway. With the latter, tenants can reach Singapore in under an hour. The former, on the other hand, branches out to other parts of Johor, such as Kulai and creates a gateway to the North-South Highway (NSE), which would be a plus-point for those staying out of state, or constantly travel outstation.
