Taman Bangi Villa is a housing development located in Bangi, consisting mostly of one type of property ranging between one to two storeys. As there is no one particular developer for the area, most of the land sold is as individual plots to buyers who intend to build their own homes from scratch.
There is a lack of facilities and amenities within Taman Bangi Villa, resulting in residents having to drive out to other townships to access them. The housing estate also left a bitter taste in its residents’ mouths when there were numerous crimes committed in 2012, mostly from car break-ins and burglaries.
The neighbourhood council was unable to continue hiring security as some of the homeowners had refused to pay for the maintenance, hence, contributing to the surge of crime within the locality.
