Taman Sungai Ara is a residential development of landed homes located in Sungai Ara, Penang. Completed in 2015, it is a neighbourhood of just 37 terrace homes occupying 20 acres of freehold land in a newly developed part of Sungai Ara, near the foot of the hills.

The 3-storey homes of Taman Sungai Ara are spacious, with built-up spaces ranging between 3,389 sf to 3,869 sf. The homes are designed to cater to families, providing functional spaces for all. As such, the units offer 4+1 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms with a porch large enough to fit 2 cars.

Taman Sungai Ara residences were launched at prices beginning from RM1.2 million, which is rather steep. However, the value of the homes have indeed appreciated, as seen by their subsale prices starting from RM1.6 million, as of 2016.

However, buyers should be aware that despite their prices, Taman Sungai Ara does not offer any facilities within, nor is it gated and guarded. As such, many would consider looking for other options, as the Sungai Ara area is definitely not short of new developments with similar pricing and offers of more facilities. But if serenity is on the top of the list, then Taman Sungai Ara will be a great choice.

Residents of Taman Sungai Ara will have to drive about 5 minutes out of the neighbourhood to the town of Sungai Ara to reach amenities. There, commercial hubs house convenience stores, eateries, and clinics among others. SJK (C) Chong Cheng and SK Sungai Ara are also in the vicinities while other schools are roughly another 5 to 10 minutes away, such as SMK Sungai Ara, the Seri Relau National School, the Fairview International School, SK Mutiara Perdana and the Straits International School.

Taman Sungai Ara is also about 10 minutes from the town of Bayan Baru, where even more conveniences like a Giant hypermarket can be found. Queensbay Mall is also a little further down, where there is an Aeon supermarket and a number of retail outlets and restaurants. The Bayan Bay commercial hub is also in the area, where anything from banks to beauty salons are available.

Accessibility to and from Taman Sungai Ara to the town is through a single road, which is Jalan Sungai Ara 1. It can then link to other main roads like Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim, and Jalan Tun Dr. Awang. Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah can also be accessed via these 2 roads. With that, the town of Bayan Lepas is a little over 10 minutes away, while the first Penang bridge is around a 20-minute drive from the development. Further up another 10 minutes or so will lead to Georgetown. Down south will be the town of Batu Maung as well as the second Penang bridge, approximately 20 minutes away.
