Jalan Tun Dr. Awang is also conveniently linked to Persiaran Bukit Jambul, the Bayan Lepas Highway, the Sungai Nibong Highway, and of course Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway for those needing to head to Georgetown or the two Penang bridges. Public transport is also readily available along the main road, such as the buses operated by Rapid Penang and quite a number of taxis for hire.

The overall condition of the apartment is quite depressing as it looks like it has not been well maintained. However, all residents are required to pay a maintenance fee, which has not, apparently, served its purpose. The main roads to Desa Rahmat Apartment can also get quite congested. Given its condition and also lack of security, these factors may put off some potential buyers and investors.
