BT Homestead Development

BT Homestead Group was initially operating under a different name in the business of retailing and wholesaling petroleum products. It started business operation in the 1960's. In the middle of 1970's, due to the decline of the oil industry following its booming years, the group decided to diversify its business interests. The group acquired some land in Kuala Lumpur in late 70s and built terrace and link houses in 1985. The whole housing scheme was successfully developed and sold.

After overcoming the recession in late 80's, the group ventured into condominium development and its first development was a 39-storey condominium project located off Jalan Bukit Kiara. The project was successfully launched and built by one of the group's subsidiary companies Homestead Development Sdn Bhd.

The group intends to continue to focus in residential development, especially in condominium and apartment types of housing. This is due to the long term potential of this sector supported by the ever growing population in the Klang Valley.

Besides concentrating in developing, the group also diversified into other related businesses; namely property investment, renting and management services.

The philosophy behind the driving force of the group is basic and simple, that is to keep the group management concise, efficient, dynamic, productive and able to respond quickly to sudden shocks caused by market and economic changes.
