Taman Paya Terubong is a low-cost flat complex situated in Paya Terubong, Penang. While the development looks rather aged and is high density, it occupies a freehold parcel of land at the end of a cul-de-sac lane, giving it a more secluded environment.

The residential units offered at Taman Paya Terubong have built-up sizes of over 500 sf to 800 sf, with communal parking lots, shops and convenience stores on the ground floor. Within a walking distance of the flat, residents will also be able to find food stalls, cafes, a mini mart and shops in the Paya Terubong area.

There is the Permata Sports Complex about 3.5km away, where the flat’s residents can go to for recreation and sports facilities. To get to the nearest hospital, however, they need to travel almost 10km to reach the Lam Wah Ee Hospital in the state capital.

For residents who use public transportation to get to their workplace or school, there is a bus stop located near the intersection of Tingkat Paya Terubong 2 and the lane leading to the flat. From this bus stop, one can catch bus 306 going between the Bayan Lepas Airport and the Penang General Hospital (or Hospital Pulau Pinang), as well as bus 502 that goes between the jetty in Georgetown and Balik Pulau.

Otherwise, residents of Taman Paya Terubong with their own private vehicles will need to take note that traffic along Tingkat Paya Terubong 2 can be slow, especially during peak hours. Nevertheless, the development is still a lower-cost place to stay for those working and studying in Air Itam and the surrounding neighbourhoods, for example like in INTI International College Penang in Bukit Jambul.
