Description

Taman Sungai Dua Utama at Sungai Dua, Penang, is a mixed township development consisting of residential and commercial titles. Phase 1A of the development saw the completion of 2 types of double-storey terrace homes as well as double-storey and triple-storey shop offices. Phase 1B was made up of a low-cost apartment residence consisting of several 5-storey blocks.

The 59 units of Type A Terraces at Taman Sungai Dua Utama were launched at prices of about RM206,850 with built-up sizes of 1,510 sf. There were 64 units of Type B Terraces which were about 1,524 sf in built-up area and had cost at least RM210,000 when launched.

The 7 units of 2-storey shop lots have built-up spaces of 2,202 sf and were launched at about RM304,500 while only 1 unit of 3-storey shop lot was built. The 3-storey corner lot was launched at RM819,000, which is considerably higher than the 2-storey units. The 266 units of low-cost apartment homes on the other hand, were launched at affordable prices of around RM33,000 and are sized at a snug 631 sf.

Amenities are still scarce within Taman Sungai Dua Utama, given that many of the commercial lots are still vacant. However, there is a school - SRK Desa Murni within the township itself. Jalan Sungai Dua, where Taman Sungai Dua Utama is located just off, is lined with shops where a number of amenities like eateries, convenience stores, petrol stations and so on can be found. More amenities such as clinics are available just a mere minute’ drive away in the townships of Taman Seri Murni and Taman Pengkalan Machang, where there are the basic amenities along with a wider choice of schools, consisting of SK Sungai Dua, SMK Desa Murni, SMK Datuk Haji Ahmad Said and SJK (C) Kai Chee.

Taman Sungai Dua Utama has direct access to Jalan Sungai Dua, which connects the township to the Butterworth Outer Ring Road as well as the North-South Expressway (NSE). From there, the Butterworth town centre is just 10 minutes away while the town of Seberang Perai and the first Penang bridge are about the same distance away as well.
