Transport-wise, several Rapid Penang buses pass by Anson Road such as bus 10, which travels across the state capital between the Georgetown jetty and the Penang Botanic Gardens via Gurney Drive, as well as bus 103, which goes to and fro between Komtar and Bagan Jermal in Georgetown via Pulau Tikus.

Along with the fact that there are many roads leading off Jalan Anson, it is a very accessible location indeed. However, with its good accessibility, walking-distance proximity to the heart of the city centre and the abundance of shops and offices around the area, it can get very congested especially during peak hours.
