Clustered together with the plethora of residential high rises in Ampang is the Ampang Putra Residency, one of the slightly newer yet quite utilitarian looking condominiums of the city, built atop a plethora of shops offering a vast variety of goods.

Even with what some say its less than attractive designs, Ampang Putra Residency has experienced a healthy price appreciation due to its central location within walking distance to the Ampang LRT Station; and also because it is said to be a fantastic investment for renting to the expat tenants, especially the Korean market. With a generous total of 795 parking lots in that condominium, the need to park illegally outside the development would also be eliminated.
