Pearl is a collection of landed homes, part of the Seri Austin township in Johor Bahru. Completed in 2015, the development consists of 136 double-storey terrace homes. The spacious homes sit snug within a gated and guarded enclave of natural greenery, though without having to forego modern amenities.
The Pearl homes are equipped with fibre optic telephone cables, which will enable residents to enjoy High Speed Broadband (HSSB) services in the form of Unifi by Telekom Malaysia (TM). This harmony of urban needs while remaining close to nature, has earned the Seri Austin township the Smart Healthy City and Communities Township name, the first in Iskandar Malaysia.
The Pearl homes are sizeable, with double volume ceilings, which give the homes a heightened sense of spaciousness and grandeur. The porch of the homes are also larger than most terrace homes, able to fit up to 4 vehicles. There are 2 variants of the homes, which are the Pearl 1 and Pearl 2. There are 71 Pearl 1 units, and 66 of the Pearl 2.
The Pearl 1 units are slightly larger in built-up compared to the Pearl 2, at 2,588 sf with 4+1 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The intermediate units of the Pearl 1 homes each come with an inner courtyard, which is a rather unique feature. The corner units on the other hand, have their very own gardens. The Pearl 2 is nonetheless, also spacious, with a 4+1-bedrooms and 5-bathrooms layout within 2,473 sf of space.
Pearl is a gated and guarded precinct, with facilities readily available within the Seri Austin township development. Residents can be close to nature, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle by taking daily runs along the jogging tracks, or opting to cycle rather than drive around the area. The township is the only one in Johor to have designated lanes for bicycles throughout the roads in the development. Recreational areas are also available, along with the several parks in the township.
Other amenities are in the vicinities of Pearl as well, such as the Starhill Golf and Country Club, which boasts a 36-hole course. Daily grocery needs and occasional retail therapy are also met, with the AEON Tebrau City and a Tesco Hypermarket being nearby. The first IKEA in the south of Malaysia will also open in Tebrau nearby at the end of 2017. Families with school-going children will also find Pearl a suitable home, with a number schools like SJK (C) Foon Yew, SK Mount Austin, and SMK Taman Johor Jaya 1 in the area. Those seeking higher education for their children will also be glad to know that Sunway College is not too far off. Just a quick drive away is the Hospital Sultan Ismail.
The Pearl homes at Seri Austin also do not lack in terms of accessibility. The Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) accessible from the neighbourhood, leads straight to the JB city centre and the Johor Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) in 15 minutes. To add, other major highways are also reachable to and from the development, such as the Tebrau-Kota Tinggi Highway, the Senai-Desaru Highway, the Pasir Gudang Highway and the North-South Expressway (NSE).
