Southgate is a business development located in Sungai Besi and was modelled after the Xintiandi in Shanghai as an integrated commercial and leisure hub. Located at the southern gateway of the Kuala Lumpur city, there is direct access leading to the area with Istana Negara and Wisma Mah Sing as its nearby landmarks.

Despite injecting quality into this project, many people have complained about the development as being priced too highly on its monthly rental, resulting in many businesses failing to continue using the development. The heavy traffic surrounding the area is also a major turn off for customers to visit the place.
