Description

Taman Bunga Raya is a mature neighbourhood that consists of terrace units, located in Butterworth, Penang. The units are segregated into one-storey and two-storey units, and there is a row of shops located at the front of the neighbourhood.

Units within the neighbourhood have a minimum built-up of 1,200 sf, usually coming with 4 bedrooms and 2 or 3 bathrooms. Some of the houses, following the front row of shops, have been converted into commercial units, thus creating the mixed nature of properties within the area.

Some facilities such as a roofed basketball court can be found in the middle of the neighbourhood, along with a children’s playground. Multi-purpose courts and small parks can also be found, where tenants can have a stroll and play some sports in.

Located right off Jalan Raja Uda, the amenities within the area are abundant, with the clear advantage being the amenities that are located right inside the neighbourhood itself. The commercial lot in front of the Taman Bunga Raya housing area consists of workshops, clinics, restaurants, small offices, as well as service centres. There is also a commercial hub located at the other end which serves the same set of amenities.

Just off the neighbourhood, other amenities such as dealerships and offices can be found, especially in the Raja Uda township. The township also offers other amenities, like banks, boutiques, cafes and more restaurants. It also houses an Econsave Hypermarket, where residents can go and get their grocery and daily necessities shopping done. One of the landmarks of Butterworth, the Tow Boo Kong temple, is also located nearby.

The neighbourhood can be reached easily via the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR), which links to other highways within the area, namely the Butterworth-Kulim Highway and the North-South Highway (NSE), which also branches out to the two Penang Bridges, making travelling to the island convenient.
