Taman Cegar is a neighbourhood of landed homes and commercial shop lots located in Seberang Perai, Penang. Its location is actually near the town of Simpang Ampat. There are single-storey and double-storey terraces as well as shop lots which are 2 storeys in height. Units within Taman Cegar are at least 800 sf in built-up size, with subsale prices beginning from RM225,000. Rental is also average, at starting rates of RM750 per month. The only facility available to residents of the landed homes is a playground. Basic amenities are within reach of Taman Cegar residents, all at the shop lots just inside the neighbourhood. The NSE is also the main roadway which connects the neighbourhood to other parts of the mainland while the Butterworth Outer Ring Road can be joined from the highway after the town of Bukit Mertajam.
