Media guests at the grand opening of M Oscar sales gallery

The M Oscar showroom was officially launched on the 2nd of October 2019. In attendance at the event was Mah Sing Group Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang, who provided insights into the direction of the Mah Sing Group.

It is expected that the leading Malaysian developer will continue to expand the affordable home market, providing home buyers with affordable homes of taste and quality. And despite the challenging market, according to Ho, 81% of the Mah Sing Group’s 2019 full year sales target was achieved from the sales of residential properties priced below RM700,000.

Also present at the event was the founder and group managing director of Mah Sing, Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum. According to Leong, he states that Mah Sing Group continues to provide affordable homes in the market at this point of time, as the property market conditions are rather challenging. He also states that the group is positive towards the market, as there are many young people in Malaysia and the country is experiencing positive GDP growth.

Other attendees from Mah Sing who were at the event include Lionel Leong, the Mah Sing director of group strategy and operations, and YB Tan Kok Wai, Malaysia's Special Envoy to China.

Coming up on the 5th of October (Saturday) will be the launch of M Oscar. M Oscar will carry a total GDV of approximately RM500 million. It will be a freehold serviced apartment, located off Jalan Kuchai Lama in Salak South Garden. Strategically located within the vicinity of Sri Petaling and Happy Garden, the development will be sited on 4.63 acres of commercial titled land.

M Oscar will comprise two towers of 38 and 39 storeys, housing a total of 910 units. Buyers will have a choice of built-ups ranging between 708 sf and 1,198 sf. Catering to all walks of life, the smallest unit will house 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, while the largest unit will have 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. And with the variety of layouts offered, dual key options are also available.

Every unit will come with between 2 and 4 parking lots, and the visitor’s parking lots are more than 10% of the units – exceeding the government’s minimum requirement.

The two towers will be linked by the 2.7-acre facilities deck. Among some of the facilities offered will be an Olympic sized swimming pool, jacuzzi, and wading pool. Catering to health enthusiasts will be a jogging track, yoga room, ping pong room, and a gymnasium. And of the more family-centric facilities is the KTV room, barbecue pavilion, herb garden, and gourmet kitchen. Also available will be a multipurpose hall.

Prices of purchasing a home at M Oscar starts from RM428,000, or an average of RM650 per sf.

Residents of M Oscar will enjoy exceptional accessibility to their homes via highways and public transportation. The MRT2 Taman Naga Emas Station will be about 800 metres away from home. And for those who prefer to take private transportation, they will be well connected via the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), KL-Seremban Highway, Maju Expressway (MEX), and the Federal Highway.

According to Ho, “Affordability has always been the key focus in homeownership. Thus, there is a rising need from buyers today for quality residential developments that are affordably priced in strategic locations with ready amenities and infrastructure.” It is then so he believes that M Oscar will be a highly sought after and prized development.
