UEM Sunrise has unveiled their latest flagship development – Kiara Bay. The 73-acre development with a GDV of RM15 billion will be an integrated development built on the urban liveability concept. Kiara Bay will encompass both residential and commercial spaces, and its first phase is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2023, and the entire township by 2039.

The latest masterpiece of UEM Sunrise will be located in the heart of Kepong, with waterfront living overlooking the Kepong Metropolitan Park. Kiara Bay will fully leverage on its location, creating an urban environment with the peaceful ambience of the lake and nature.

Kiara Bay’s design will encompass the urban liveability concept. Residents and patrons will get to enjoy a diversity of space, from retail to outdoor parks. Complementing each and the other, residents will get to enjoy a vibrant living environment.

According to Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of UEM Sunrise, the focus of the urban liveability concept, which will be the core of everything they do at Kiara Bay, is to create an active urban living icon that has something to offer everyone in their multi-generational communities.

He further went on to state that, “At UEM Sunrise, we aim to build more than just structures and buildings, but communities and an inclusive environment for them to identify with. Mont’ Kiara is our testament to this vision, and so will Kiara Bay.”

Kiara Bay will be jointly developed by the Melati Ehsan Group. “We are excited to be on this journey with UEM Sunrise to create something new in Kepong. Combined with the way this master plan is detailed and the character that it embodies, Kiara Bay will become the industry’s benchmark of urban township,” said Tan Sri Dato’ Yap Suan Chee, Melati Ehsan Holdings Berhad Group Chairman.

The development of Kiara Bay will comprise residential units, office spaces, a retail mall, healthcare centres and education hubs. The first phase will consist of residential units, numbering a total of 870 homes with built-ups ranging between 800 and 1,250 sf. These homes will be priced between RM600,000 and RM900,000. Among the many facilities that residents will get to enjoy is a swimming pool, sky deck, and gymnasium.

Kiara Bay will be easily accessible via highways and public transportation. Of the many highways surrounding the township is the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Duta Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), and Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP).

The trunk roads of Jalan Kuching and Jalan Kepong are also a short distance away from the development. Creating convenience of accessibility will also be two new interchanges that will provide direct access from the MRR2 into Kiara Bay.

In terms of public transportation, the Kepong Baru and Jinjang MRT stations which are scheduled for completion in 2021 will be within a short distance from the township.

“This 15 to 20-year regeneration project would allow integrated master-planning with a diverse range of product types, amenities and community services like Auxiliary Police and shuttle busses to the nearest MRT station,” said Anwar.

He further went on to state, “Leveraging our experience and success in developing Mont’Kiara and our JV partner Melati Ehsan’s track record in construction management, we want to create the same value with Kiara Bay so that homebuyers and investors can enjoy capital growth in their assets.”

Anwar also stated that instead of pocket-sized developments, Kiara Bay will create communities and commercial activities that will bring a positive impact socially and economically to the Kepong neighbourhood.
