The 810-acre Gamuda Gardens welcomes the completion of Waterfront Village in January 2020. An enchanting waterfront retail village, locals will now have a social hub in North Sungai Buloh.

Residents will be able to enjoy the convenience of having a collection of F&B outlets within their neighbourhood, as well as popular retail brands for shopping, a clubhouse, and market hall among others.

Sited in front of the lake, the Waterfront Village is appropriately named. Located just next to the 50-acre pet-friendly Central Park, the shopping area has a net lettable area of 27,000 sq ft, and sits upon 100,000 sq ft of land area. Of the available lettable space, 40% has been let out.

And of the confirmed popular F&B tenants that visitors will get to patron include KFC and Tealive. Then there is the Freshii Neighbourhood Market which sells a wide selection of local and imported foods from U.S., Australia, and Japan, Mr. DIY, Ecocana Sports, and a money changer. More tenants will be completing the mix in March 2020.

The Waterfront Village is seamlessly connected with the outdoors, encouraging visitors to enjoy the vibes of nature. The Lower Ground Floors are opened to the green lawns next to the lake, and the Ground Floor features and huge balcony where visitors are able to view the 5 cascading lakes, and 2 waterfalls.

Upon nightfall the fountain in the centre of the lake lights up in colourful lights. And the Garden of Lights with its LED stepping tiles will also light up in interactive lighting fun.

According to the General Manager of Gamuda Gardens Chu Wai Lune, “Gamuda Land has made a conscious effort to incorporate placemaking elements into Gamuda Gardens’ commercial components.”

He further added that, “Envisioned as a social hub, the retail village provides the ambience and the space for activities to take place, such as events, gatherings, casual business meetings, having coffee and other activities.”

The Waterfront Village was officially launched on the 11th of January, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and Chinese New Year vibes amidst an Old Shanghai theme. Visitors enjoyed festive events like lion dance performances, authentic street food, mask-changing performance (bian lian), Chinese feather jianzi (shuttlecock) game, and the gold bar challenge.

Gamuda Gardens was launched in 2017, and continuously draws visitors with its increasing number of attractions. Up and running to-date is the Gardens Area, and the FIFA-sized football pitch that was launched in December 2019.

There is also the upcoming 1,180 sqm Big Bucket Splash water play area and the Gardens Wellness lakeside wellness centre which will be sited at the Waterfront Village. The latter will offer various activities to health enthusiasts including a gym, dance studio, swimming pool, and 8 badminton courts.
