Come March 2020, Mah Sing will unveil its first Community-Friendly recreational Summit Park in Southville City. Sized at 9.62 acres, this park will be sited within the developer’s largest township yet. The park will act as a ‘Green Sanctuary,’ and will be a pioneer public park that complies with the international safety standards certified by the Playground Safety Association of Malaysia (PSAM).

Said Mah Sing’s Founder and Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum, “The Summit Park, which is scheduled for its official unveiling in March 2020 is not only limited to residents of our Southville City alone but is welcomed for the public to enjoy as well.

“This reinforces our renewed commitment to continue giving back to the surrounding community. The completion of the Summit Park is also timely to cater to the growing population within the vicinity as it straddles across matured neighborhoods such as Bangi, Kajang, Nilai, Seremban, Semenyih, Dengkil, and Sepang.”

He further added, “I am delighted that Summit Park is recognised by the Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (MPS) as a reference point for one of the public parks in Malaysia, which complies with the international safety standards, promoting children's rights to play in a safe environment as it serves as an important role in children’s healthy development. In addition, the safety compliance will increase the public’s awareness in the aspects of children’s playground safety and design.”

The Summit Park will comprise of covered and open picnic areas, which will offer visitors an al fresco dining experience. There will be a playground area that spans over 800 sqm, making it one of the largest public park playgrounds in the state.

Also in the park will be a meditation area, and over 20 different outdoor gyms & par-course facilities equipped for outdoor workout and meditation sessions. The ‘Summit View Point’, named so for being the highest point in the park, will enable visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the entire park.

All the areas will be linked by a looped pedestrian walkway that is approximately 1.2km in length, which is also ideal for cycling, jogging, and strolling.

Southville City will be seeing more excitement in town in 1Q2020. Said Mah Sing’s Chief Operating Officer, Everlyn Khaw, “At Mah Sing, we always strive to continuously provide added value to our customers by organising various events and happenings for all to enjoy. We recently organised our flagship Qube Market – Home & Fun Fair at our Savanna Boulevard Shops, which we collaborated with various home brands, offering attractive offers to our customers and residents.

“We displayed many different booths from our participating partners during the two-day event to allow all visitors to spend quality time with their loved ones. In view of the overwhelming response, we plan to extend the Qube Market – themed ‘Children’s Day and Toy Fair in March 2020 to cater to burgeoning demand.”

She further elaborated, “Building on the momentum of our on-going placemaking initiatives, we will also be organising a Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration in conjunction with the Homes of Prosperity Campaign. Our upcoming CNY Open House which will be held on 8 February 2020 will include various activities such as Acrobatic Lion Dance and 10 Festival Drums performance, along with fun-filled CNY activities and feasts prepared for our valued customers and all visitors.”

Some of Southville City’s recent events include the Southville City Collector Fest; Southville City Collectors Big Bite; Southville City Dinosaur Garden Fest and Southville City Fun Run.


Southville City – A Sustainable Quality Township with Enhanced Living Experience

Southville City is Mah Sing’s largest township to-date. It sits on 428 acres of land and carries a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM11 billion. The township is slated for completion within the next 12 to 15 years and is actively undergoing development to serve the estimated population of 69,000 upon its completion.

The upcoming and recently completed projects within Southville City includes Avens Residence, Savanna Executive Suites, Savanna Boulevard Shops, and MERCEARIA grocer. Accessibility to the township was also recently enhanced through the opening of the Southville City interchange in April 2018 by Mah Sing, which has benefitted both residents of Southville City as well as its surrounding community.

As Mah Sing’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ho Hon Sang said, “Mah Sing is always committed to enhance the amenities and offerings of Southville City. With all the on-going developments lined-up, 2020 is going to be yet another exciting year for Southville City as we intend to create more excitement in the area.
